Crossing the Rubicon: Past the Point of No Return
Heidi Connolly
WINNER OF HONORABLE MENTION AWARDS AT THE 2015 Paris Book Festival & NY Book Festival, and the 2014 southern California book festival. By Heidi Connolly in collaboration with Randy Connolly (postmortem), Illustrated by Heidi Connolly, 2Lakes Publishing, 2014, ISBN 978-0-9722-400-7-9, $29.95 (+ S&H)
CROSSING THE RUBICON not only tells the story of two lovers separated through loss of life on the physical plane, but of the realization that there truly is life after death...on both sides of the veil. Crossing the Rubicon refers to the event in 49 BC when Julius Caesar led his army across the Rubicon River, signifying a point of no return. A year and a half after his passing, Randy Connolly made it clear to his wife Heidi that this was to be the name of their new book to validate their ongoing relationship across all realms and dimensions, and to reassure her that, while they had passed the “point of no return” in human terms, their powerfully loving partnership would continue in energetic form forever as "vacationing angels."
The downloaded verses in CROSSING THE RUBICON reach directly into the reader’s heart and soul, yet it is Heidi Connolly’s naked story of loss and ultimate renewal through her acquired ability to converse with Randy—and other spirit beings—that bridges the world of grief with the world of new beginnings and new ways to forge relationships with those on the other side. In this work, Heidi Connolly offers each of us a way to cross the threshold of our own personal Rubicon to access a renewed life of happiness, joy, and possibility.
